Erik is a Manager at Empire Valuation Consultants, where he has worked since 2015.
Erik has worked with publicly traded companies, privately held businesses, hedge funds and private equity firms, and has been involved in numerous valuations of businesses, equity interests, debt and fixed income securities, and intangible assets.
Erik’s expertise includes preparing valuations for the purposes of fair value measurements (ASC 820); business combinations (ASC 805); stock-based compensation (ASC 718); and intangibles - goodwill and others (ASC 350), financial reporting and SEC reporting; as well as valuations for general corporate planning and estate and gift tax purposes.
He has prepared valuations related to complex securities, intangible assets (including trademarks, in-process and finished technologies, in-process research and development, patents, licenses, etc.), and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he has prepared valuations for insurance claims, damages, restructuring, and litigation purposes, among others.
Prior to joining Empire, Erik worked as a Senior Equity Analyst at Value Line.
