Andrew is a Senior Manager at Empire Valuation Consultants, where he has worked since 2006.
Andrew has been involved in the valuations of a variety of equity interests in corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, operating in a broad range of industries. He has worked with numerous private equity firms, hedge funds, publicly traded companies, and closely held companies, including early stage development businesses. These valuations have been performed for various purposes including gift tax, estate tax, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), potential sale/buyout transactions, and general corporate planning purposes.
Andrew’s expertise includes the valuation of limited partnership interests in private equity and hedge funds as well as the valuation of carried interests in fund management companies and general partnerships. He has completed over 500 engagements for private and public companies, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices.
Prior to joining Empire, Andrew worked in the commercial real estate segment of the banking industry through his employment with First Niagara Bank. While there, he served as a commercial credit analyst, where he was responsible for underwriting, analyzing and evaluating the creditworthiness of companies operating in a broad range of industries. Prior to his tenure with First Niagara Bank, Mr. Olander served in the role of Staff Accountant and Cash Manager for Monro Muffler Brake, Inc. In addition to managing the company’s daily cash position and related audit/close functions, he was responsible for the maintenance of financial schedules used in the firm’s SEC filings and was directly involved in the execution of three acquisitions.
